| Range News - If you have utilised the practice facilities at the club lately, you'll know that the driving range is in fine condition. Driving mats now have rubber tees of various heights, no more chasing tee pegs down the range! The club has recently acquired 5000 range balls which are of high quality and fly much more consistently than in the past. So, don't let the latest deluge stop you popping down to loosen up those muscles. | ![]() |

| Juniors - This section of the club is growing with quite a few new members and some established youngsters improving rapidly. On wednesday and friday mornings, I coach groups from the Lingfield Notre Dame School. Although many of these boys and girls are playing golf for the first time, many are showing excellent promise. During mid-term and weekends we have run a number of competitions. The most consistent performer and winner of more than a few junior competitions in the region, is Lewis Reeve. He has reduced his handicap to 16. | ![]() |

| Awards Dinner - Following my recent win in the PGA South Region Match Play Championships, I was invited to the Inaugural PGA Awards Dinner at Wentworth. 2007 tournament winners were treated to the red carpet treatment, along with award winners such as PGA Professional of the Year, North Downs' Mike Homewood and Coach of Year, Paul Lyons formerly from Sweetwoods Park. I received my award for my win, the Keith MacDonald Memorial Trophy. I finished the season 13th on our order of merit. Next year, my goal is to finish in the top 3, thereby qualifying for the end of season play-offs with a chance to win places in Challenge and European Tour events. | ||
